Macie Stewart and Sima Cunningham, the women who make up the band Ohmme, will return to Columbia after a tour with Jeff Tweedy. At this year's True/False film fest, the two surprised audiences at Cafe Berlin with their near-perfect harmonies and vocal chemistry. Now, they are coming back to CoMo to perform at Rose Music Hall on Tuesday, May 15. The duo is originally from Chicago and found success in the improvisational music scene there. Stewart and Cunningham have officially been a group since 2014, but met and admired each other's musicality in high school when Stewart was in a production of Little Shop of Horrors and Cunningham led a rock band. Now, the band is working on an EP, which will be released later this year.

Before you head to the show, listen to 'Fingerprints,' a popular song from Ohmme that showcases the pair's interesting vocal harmony. The indie rock duo are often joined by a drummer or guitarist, but the heart of the music is just Stewart and Cunningham's voices. In a Q&A with Interview, the women praised each other's musical abilities.
